“How Our Heart Works” – A Lecture for High School Students on Cardiovascular Health

Second-year medical students at TNMU, Diana Sokhar and Valeria Lutsyk (group MM-206), delivered an educational lecture to students of Lesya Ukrainka Medical Lyceum No. 15 on the cardiovascular system. The event featured the participation of Professor Stepan Vadzyuk, Head of the Department of Physiology with Bioethics.

During the lecture, the students were introduced to the structure and function of the human cardiovascular system. The lecturers explained the workings of the heart, the significance of the pulse, methods for measuring it, the structure of blood vessels, and the composition of blood in an accessible, interactive way.

Special attention was given to preventing cardiovascular disease and maintaining heart health. Participants had the opportunity to measure their own pulse and take part in a short quiz, which helped reinforce the material.

The meeting was held in a friendly and educational atmosphere and generated considerable interest among the high school students.
