Representatives of the charitable organization “Johanniter Mission Siret” donated dental chairs to I. Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University

On March 11, 2026, I. Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University was visited by international partners from the charitable organization “Johanniter Mission Siret” (Romania), who donated two modern dental chairs from Switzerland to the Faculty of Dentistry. This equipment will improve students’ practical training and enhance the quality of the educational process.

The foreign delegation was headed by Ana-Maria Maidaniuc and also included Alexa Boltze, Johannes Deister, Felix Keiter, Geena Schulz, Levin Mittag, and Carl Mangasarian.

The university’s cooperation with international partners has been ongoing for several years and is based on mutual trust, support, and a shared commitment to developing medical education and the healthcare system.

The guests were welcomed by Mykhailo Korda, Acting Vice-Rector for International Relations, who greeted the partners and thanked them for their support of the university.

During the visit, Volodymyr Machohan, Associate Professor of the Department of Dentistry at the Faculty of Postgraduate Education, introduced the partners to the dental building and the classrooms and laboratories where future dentists receive their training.

Professor Arsen Hudyma also presented the Simulation Training Center’s work. The guests had the opportunity to see modern classrooms, training halls, and other facilities where students practice their practical skills using advanced equipment.

During this visit, 2,350 kg of medical supplies were also delivered to the Ternopil District City Hospital. This assistance will help improve the treatment and rehabilitation of Ukrainian military personnel and patients who require medical support.

Students of the university-wide volunteer movement “Misericordia” also contributed to the organization and conduct of the visit, namely Kateryna Lushpynska, Karina Bizhko, Bohdan Labivka, Yurii Krychkevych, Iryna Yatsukh, Kira Mykhalska, Vladyslav Bezkoro vainyi, Kateryna Yarema, Khrystyna Sydor, and Yulia Stepanchuk. The inspirational leader of this mission is Taras Kadobnyi, Associate Professor of Ternopil National Medical University.

We sincerely thank our international partners for their constant support, care, and contribution to the development of medical education and the healthcare system. Such cooperation is important for strengthening the university’s material and technical base and for supporting medical institutions that are currently carrying out an extremely important mission.
