TNMU Agrees on Cooperation with Buchach City Hospital

On March 19, 2026, the Director of Buchach City Hospital, Vitalii Kostianets, met with the Rector of Ternopil National Medical University, Professor Petro Lykhatskyi.

The meeting was also attended by Andrii Prodan from the Department of Clinical Affairs and the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Svitlana Kucher.

The main topic of discussion was the staffing needs of modern medicine. Vitalii Kostianets emphasized that today, hospitals more than ever require qualified physical therapists. The development of rehabilitation departments is a priority; however, the success of treatment depends directly on specialists proficient in modern patient recovery methods.

Petro Lykhatskyi spoke in more detail about the level of training for future medical professionals at TNMU and highlighted the importance of cooperation with healthcare institutions to enable students to gain clinical experience.

As a result of the переговори, it was decided to expand the partnership and sign a cooperation agreement.
