Scientists of TNMU Receive Grant from RECOOP HTS Association in Zagreb

On March 25–26, 2026, the “21st Bridges in Life Sciences Conference” took place in Zagreb, Croatia. At this event, I. Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University strengthened its position on the international scientific stage.

As part of the conference, a joint team of researchers from I. Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University and Comenius University in Bratislava (Slovakia) presented their project titled “Ozonated water and oils as adjunct antimicrobials: sublethal damage, biofilm reduction, and antibiotic synergy,” which received grant support from the RECOOP HTS Association.

The project was presented by Associate Professor Taras Piatkovskyi, Head of the Department of Microbiology, Virology, and Immunology. The session was chaired by Dr. Sandor G. Vari, Vice President of the RECOOP HTS Association; Professor Oksana Shevchuk, President of the RECOOP HTS Association; and Dr. Róbert Gáspár.

The President of the RECOOP HTS Association, Dr. Róbert Gáspár, personally announced the competition results.

Winning this grant is another confirmation of TNMU’s high level of scientific research and the effectiveness of international collaboration. Research on ozonated compounds opens new avenues for treating infectious diseases and overcoming microbial resistance to traditional drugs.

We congratulate our scientific community on this significant achievement!
