Regular Meeting of the “School of Educational Programme Guarantors”

On April 15, 2026, a meeting of the School of Educational Program Guarantors of I. The Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University held an event dedicated to a comprehensive analysis of the results of accreditation of educational programs in the 2025–2026 academic year.

The meeting was attended by programme guarantors, faculty deans and their deputies, directors of educational and research institutes, and invited experts from National Agency for Higher Education Quality Assurance (NAQA) among the university’s academic staff. Participants thoroughly discussed the recommendations of expert groups and the conclusions of sectoral expert councils.

Particular attention was paid to aligning academic disciplines with the declared learning outcomes. The participants also considered the prospects of creating a “single window” for stakeholder proposals. Emphasis was placed on the importance of developing international academic mobility for both academic staff and students. Additionally, attention was given to integrating employers into the educational process and strengthening human resource capacity through auditing publication activities that correspond to the profile of each specialty.

A new initiative introduced was the proposal to place presentations of elective courses in the Catalog of Elective Disciplines, in order to better present opportunities for students to shape their individual educational trajectories.

Participants stressed that each learning outcome must be genuinely supported by course content, while academic integrity and research activity of teaching staff should become effective standards. The internal quality assurance system must function proactively, independently identifying shortcomings. A comprehensive approach that combines digitalization of resources with stakeholder engagement was highlighted as a key condition for successful accreditation and international recognition of the university.
