TNMU and the Medical University of Białystok Expand Cooperation in Healthcare

On May 11, 2026, the Rector of I. Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University, Professor Petro Lykhatskyi, and the Dean of the Faculty for International Students, Professor Mariia Marushchak, paid a working visit to the Medical University of Białystok (Republic of Poland).

During the visit, they met with the institution’s Chancellor, Mikołaj Tomulewicz, the Rector, Professor Lech Chyczewski, and the Vice-Rectors, Dr. Paweł Kitlas, Dr. Elżbieta Barańczuk, and Dr. Agnieszka Zakrzewska.

The Medical University’s administration presented its achievements in the education and training of physical therapists, nurses, and paramedics.

Both parties discussed and outlined key areas for future educational and scientific cooperation. The discussions focused on planning joint research projects, implementing academic mobility initiatives, exchanging experience regarding academic curricula, supporting and organizing mutual exchanges of academic and teaching staff, and collaborating on the development and implementation of new educational and scientific projects, including the organization of scientific conferences and the presentation of achievements and best practices across various healthcare disciplines.

The visit culminated in the signing of a bilateral cooperation agreement between the Medical University of Białystok and I. Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University, further strengthening international partnerships and creating new educational and research opportunities.
