The Educational and Scientific Institute of Nursing: Continuing Postgraduate Education
Throughout this academic year, the Educational and Scientific Institute of Nursing of TNMU, in cooperation with the WHO Country Office in Ukraine, introduced an advanced training course for primary healthcare nurses entitled “Management of Patients with Arterial Hypertension and Type 2 Diabetes. Implementation of Updated Medical Care Standards into Nursing Practice Based on the WHO PEN Tool.”

During the year, 99 nurses from all regions of Ukraine, including frontline communities, completed the training.

The final group of participants in this program attended the course on May 25–29, 2026. As on previous occasions, the educational process combined lectures, practical skills training in the university’s simulation center, clinical case discussions, small-group work, and the basics of motivational interviewing.
The advanced training course was coordinated by Svitlana Danchak, Director of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Nursing, and associate professors Olha Zarudna, Nadiia Reha, Yuliia Danylevych, Oksana Prokopchuk, as well as teaching assistant Yuliia Kotsaba.

For many participants, studying in our welcoming city and university also provided an opportunity to take a break from the sounds of air raid sirens and explosions, while gaining new skills and knowledge for successful professional practice.
