The Data Submission Module for the National Researchers System of Ukraine Has Been Launched
The National Researchers System of Ukraine (NRSU) will create a unified information space for researchers, their achievements, and research areas. This initiative will help increase the visibility of Ukrainian science for government institutions, international partners, and businesses, while also enhancing the prestige of scientific work.
As part of the system, state scholarships will be introduced for the most productive researchers and academic staff. These scholarships will be awarded based on an objective assessment of research performance.
Ukrainian science competes for talent within the global research community, and the development of a strong researcher requires many years of education, practical experience, and professional growth. The NRSU is intended to help reduce the outflow of researchers and preserve the human resources potential of Ukrainian science.

Researchers can now integrate their data into the system through a dedicated module of the Ukrainian Research Information System (URIS).
This initiative continues the policy of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine aimed at introducing transparent mechanisms for research funding. The ranking system will take into account verified publications, citations, patents, and research grants. Based on these data, two independent rankings will be compiled: a general ranking and a separate ranking for early-career researchers.
The top-ranked researchers will receive special state scholarships.
Key figures for 2026:
- Budget: UAH 190 million
- Number of scholarship recipients: 2,650 researchers
- Scholarship amount: UAH 10,000 per month for two years
Application deadline: Researchers may submit their data through their personal URIS accounts until 1:00 p.m. on July 20, 2026.
Information can be submitted through a personal account in the National Electronic Research Information System (URIS) from June 18 until 1:00 p.m. on July 20, 2026.
For the convenience of users, specialists from the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and the State Scientific and Technical Library of Ukraine have prepared detailed guidelines explaining the data submission process and specific requirements for completing researcher profiles.
