Comprehensive Practice-Oriented Examination for Paramedic Students at TNMU
On June 16–18, 2026, the Department of Emergency and Simulation Medicine of I. Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University conducted a comprehensive practice-oriented examination for students enrolled in the Educational and Professional Program “Paramedic” at the university’s Simulation Training Center.

Prior to the examination, words of encouragement and best wishes for success were delivered by Svitlana Danchak, Director of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Nursing; Professor Arsen Hudyma, Head of the Department of Emergency and Simulation Medicine; Oleksandr Ripka, Director of the Municipal Non-Profit Enterprise “Center for Emergency Medical Care and Disaster Medicine”; Medical Director Hanna Monchak; and Mariana Yakhnytska, Medical Director of the Municipal Non-Profit Enterprise of the Lviv Regional Council “Lviv Regional Center for Emergency Medical Care and Disaster Medicine.”
The examination participants were also addressed by Professor Marian Hrebenyk, Chair of the Attestation Commission and Head of the Department of Therapy and Family Medicine of the Faculty of Postgraduate Education; Yaroslav Kitsak, Associate Professor of the Department of Emergency and Simulation Medicine and Secretary of the Attestation Commission; and Olha Prokhorenko, Academic Coordinator of the Department of Emergency and Simulation Medicine.

The examination covered the key disciplines of professional training:
🔹 Emergency Care in Critical Conditions;
🔹 Advanced Resuscitation and Intensive Care Measures;
🔹 Emergency Trauma Care.

During the examination, students demonstrated solid theoretical knowledge, a high level of practical competence, and the ability to act in accordance with modern emergency medical care algorithms. Future paramedics confidently managed clinical scenarios, made well-reasoned decisions in conditions closely simulating real professional practice, and effectively applied their acquired competencies.

All participants demonstrated an appropriate level of professional knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as a high degree of responsibility, stress resilience, clinical reasoning, and teamwork readiness. The examination results confirmed the high quality of the students’ training and their preparedness for future professional activities within the emergency medical services system.
