TNMU Academic Council Holds Regular Meeting

On June 24, 2026, the regular meeting of the Academic Council of I. Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University was held under the chairmanship of Professor Mykhailo Korda.

Prior to the meeting, the Rector of the University, Professor Petro Lykhatskyi, presented Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) diplomas to:

Mariana Druchok;

Yurii Shanaida;

Nazar Ostrovskyi.

The agenda item concerning academic appointments was presented by the Academic Secretary, Professor Illia Herasymiuk.

Following a secret ballot, Professor Serhii Klymniuk was elected to the position of Professor at the Department of Microbiology, Virology and Immunology.

Professor Ihor Mysula was elected to the position of Professor at the Department of Medical Rehabilitation.

Based on the results of the secret ballot, the academic title of Associate Professor was conferred upon:

Nadiia Havryliuk, Department of Higher Nursing Education, Patient Care and Clinical Immunology;

Yuliia Kotsaba, Department of Higher Nursing Education, Patient Care and Clinical Immunology.

The results of the final certification of graduates were presented by the Chairs of the Examination Boards representing the University’s academic units:

Medical Faculty – Professor Serhii Andreychyn;

Faculty of Dentistry – Professor Nataliia Hevkaliuk;

Faculty of Pharmacy – Associate Professor Mariana Demchuk;

Educational and Research Institute of Nursing (Nursing programme) – Professor Petro Bodnar;

Educational and Research Institute of Nursing (Paramedic programme) – Professor Marian Hrebenyk;

Bachelor’s Degree Programme in Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy – Petro Skobliak, Deputy Director General for Rehabilitation and Head of the Mental and Physical Rehabilitation Department at the Ternopil Regional Clinical Psychoneurological Hospital;

Master’s Degree Programme in Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy – Mariia Vitsentovych, Head of the Outpatient Children’s Rehabilitation Centre;

Public Health programme – Professor Mariia Marushchak;

  • Master’s Degree Programme in Medical Diagnostic and Treatment Technologies – Professor Tetiana Bakaliuk.

A report on the implementation of individual study and research plans by the University’s PhD students was delivered by the Vice-Rector for Research, Professor Oleksandra Oleshchuk.
