TNMU Associate Professor Completes Erasmus+ Academic Mobility Training at the West Saxon University of Applied Sciences Zwickau

From May 30 to June 8, 2026, Oksana Sydorenko, Associate Professor at I. Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University, completed professional staff training at the West Saxon University of Applied Sciences Zwickau (WHZ), Germany, under the Erasmus+ KA171 Staff Mobility for Training programme.

The primary objective of the visit was to strengthen the partnership between the two higher education institutions, exchange professional expertise, and gain insight into the organisation of educational and research activities at one of Europe’s leading universities of applied sciences.

TNMU and WHZ have signed a bilateral cooperation agreement aimed at promoting collaboration in higher education through academic exchange programmes, joint research projects, seminars, conferences, symposiums, and other academic initiatives.

During the training programme, valuable practical experience was gained in the field of healthcare management. The visit also provided an opportunity to identify shared research interests and discuss prospects for future academic and scientific cooperation between the two universities.

Oksana Sydorenko expressed her sincere gratitude to the administration and the International Relations Office of I. Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University for organising the mobility programme. She also thanked Professor Dr.-Ing. Stephan Kassel, Rector of the West Saxon University of Applied Sciences Zwickau, and Professor Dr. Christian Brauweiler, Dean of the Faculty of Business and Economics, for their invitation, warm hospitality, and support throughout the training period.
