TNMU Faculty of Medicine Graduation Ceremony

The ceremony marked a significant milestone for newly qualified physicians, prosthetists and orthotists, physical therapists, physical therapist assistants, and graduates of the Master’s program in Public Health.
The ceremony began with a minute of silence to honor all members of the university community who lost their lives defending Ukraine, as well as everyone who sacrificed their lives for the country’s freedom and independence.

The graduates were congratulated by the Rector of TNMU, Professor Petro Lykhatskyi.

Professor Lykhatskyi also presented a certificate of appreciation to Luka Lekhnovskyi for his courage, dedication to Ukraine, and contribution to defending its independence. “On behalf of the entire Faculty of Medicine, I sincerely congratulate each of you on completing your studies at I. Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University. Your graduating class is truly exceptional. You entered the university during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. Instead of enjoying traditional student life, you faced distance learning, quarantine, uncertainty, and constant change. Yet you persevered. Soon afterwards, our country faced an even greater tragedy—the full-scale war.
There is a wise saying: ‘Hard times create strong people, and strong people create better times.’ I firmly believe these words describe your generation. You are the people who will rebuild our country, advance Ukrainian healthcare, introduce innovative technologies, transform the healthcare system, and create a brighter future for generations to come.
May the knowledge you have gained within the walls of our university become the solid foundation of your future success. Remain honest, responsible, faithful to the Physician’s Oath, and never forget why you chose this profession,” said the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Professor Svitlana Kucher, in her congratulatory address.
