TNMU Wins Erasmus+ KA220-VET Competition with International “CARE-360” Project
As a result of the 2026 Erasmus+ KA2 competition “Cooperation Partnerships in Vocational Education and Training (KA220-VET)”, the European Commission has approved funding for the project “Improving Skills in Caring for Seriously Ill Patients at Home through Peer Learning Programs” (CARE-360). A team of researchers from I. Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University is involved in its implementation.
The total budget of the initiative is €250,000. The project will start on 1 September 2026 and run for two years, until 31 August 2028.

ПрThe main objectives of the project are to provide people caring for patients at home with tailored educational resources and tools to improve caregiving practices; address qualification gaps and expand employment opportunities for home caregivers; and strengthen the role of vocational education and training in caregiving across the EU by improving working conditions for care workers and care standards.
The project includes a range of activities, including project management and quality assurance, dissemination of information, international on-site partner meetings, a virtual training-of-trainers seminar, training of trainers in the Czech Republic, development of the CARE-360 mobile application, development and implementation of the CARE-360 VET training course, creation of educational materials for caregivers and trainers, and other activities.
The international consortium consists of the following partners:
- European University Cyprus (Nicosia);
- ADAPTORA – a vocational and adult education organization focused on developing the competencies and skills of adults and professionals in Cyprus (Limassol);
- I. Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University;
- State Institution “Centre for Integrated Medical Services” (E10107520 – LT), Lithuania (Panevėžys);
- “Nicoletta Georgianni” – a private company in Greece (Patras), specializing in software design and development, interactive e-learning ecosystems, and AI-based digital solutions;
- DelpSys – a Czech organization providing systemic support, consulting, and innovation for social service providers and professionals working in the care sector, with the aim of improving the quality of social services through a combination of a systemic approach, technology, and person-centered practice (Prague).
The participation of TNMU researchers in this international consortium will make a significant contribution to the development of the healthcare system, the implementation of European standards of patient care, and the strengthening of the university’s international cooperation.ка.
