TNMU Faculty and Students Prayed for Peace in Ukraine and a Successful Academic Year
On August 31, 2026, a Holy Liturgy was celebrated at the Archcathedral Basilica of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary. During the service, the faculty and students of Ternopil National Medical University prayed for peace in Ukraine, victory for the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and a successful and happy new academic year. At the end of the service, all those present received a blessing through sprinkling with holy water.

The Liturgy was presided over by Archbishop and Metropolitan of Ternopil-Zboriv of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church, Bishop Teodor Martyniuk, who personally blessed the participants of the event.

The entire university community of Ternopil National Medical University gathered for the prayer, including the university administration, faculty members, staff, and students.

United by a common aspiration, this large university family turned to the Lord with prayers for a peaceful future for the country, the development and prosperity of Ternopil National Medical University, and good health for everyone who works and studies at the university. However, the most important prayer voiced during the service was for the swiftest possible victory and peace for Ukraine.
