TNMU Graduate Appointed Acting Head of Lviv National Medical University University Hospital

Taras Yatsunskyi, a graduate of I. Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University, has been appointed Acting Head of the University Hospital of Danylo Halytsky Lviv National Medical University.

During his studies, he was an active student with a strong patriotic stance. For example, in 2015, he taught basic first aid skills to everyone interested in Lysychansk on behalf of the All-Ukrainian Council of Resuscitation and Emergency Medical Care.

After graduating from TNMU, he worked as Head of the Admissions and Treatment Department and as a urologist at Zolochiv Central District Hospital. In 2020, he worked in Slovakia as an emergency physician with a helicopter emergency medical service. Following the outbreak of the war, he returned to Ukraine and became actively involved in volunteer activities. Later, he headed the Zolochiv Central District Hospital, where he worked until recently.

Taras Yatsunskyi is Co-Chair of the Youth Council under the Ministry of Health of Ukraine. In this capacity, he visited TNMU in April 2025. He is also the coordinator of the “Community Doctor” project, the founder of the NGO “Medical Shield”, and an active member of the Collegium of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine.
