TNMU Department of Dentistry Provides Care to Children at the Centre for Social and Psychological Rehabilitation

Caring for health and bringing joy to those who need it most has been a long-standing tradition of the staff of the Department of Dentistry of the Faculty of Postgraduate Education at Ivan Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University. For many years, the department’s academic staff have been caring for children from socially vulnerable backgrounds, providing them with qualified medical care and support.

On 16 September 2029, the department’s academic staff, together with interns and postgraduate trainees, provided the necessary dental care to children at the Centre for Social and Psychological Rehabilitation of Children.

The charitable initiative brought together a team of specialists from the department, including Professor Vitalii Shcherba, Professor Natalia Hasiuk, Associate Professor Kateryna Duda, Associate Professor Oksana Lebid, Associate Professor Halyna Stoikevych, Associate Professor Mykola Hembarovskyi, Associate Professor Volodymyr Machohan, Associate Professor Vitalii Luchynskyi, Assistant Alina Kuradovets, and Assistant Oksana Lavrin.

During the visit, the young patients received preventive dental examinations, oral cavity sanitation, and the necessary treatment. The specialists also talked to the children and taught them the basic rules of oral hygiene and dental care in an engaging and accessible way. For the interns and postgraduate trainees, the visit was an excellent opportunity to improve their practical skills under the guidance of experienced mentors.

The children’s sincere smiles and gratitude were the best reward for the entire team of the TNMU Department of Dentistry of the Faculty of Postgraduate Education!
