A Youth Campus titled “Youth in Trade Unions: Leadership, Development, Future” was held in Lviv. The educational and practical event aimed to transform the traditional trade union movement. Oleksandr Levenets, a sixth-year student of the Faculty of Medicine at I. Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University, represented the TNMU youth community at the event.

The event was organized by the Trade Union of Healthcare Workers of Ukraine, with the support of the Federation of Trade Unions of Ukraine, as part of the international Union to Union project, with the support of Swedish partners LO, TCO, and Saco.

Key Highlights of the Programme:

  • Instead of traditional lectures, participants took part in team workshops where they developed a vision of a modern and open trade union.
  • Participants explored European practices for engaging young people and tools for internal democracy.
  • A practical training session focused on the use of artificial intelligence in trade union activities.

The main goal of the Youth Campus was to motivate young healthcare professionals to become leaders, stand up for their interests, and shape the future of their profession today.
