TNMU Discusses Cooperation with “Artesans ResQ” on Training Future Paramedics
On 28 September 2026, I. Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University held a meeting focused on opportunities to enhance the practical training of students pursuing a degree in Paramedicine.

The meeting was attended by Maxim Dohrmann, Health Project Manager at the non-governmental organisations “Artesans ResQ Ukraine” and “Artesans ResQ Germany e.V.” He met with TNMU Rector Petro Lykhatskyi to discuss prospects for cooperation in the education and training of future paramedics.

The discussion was also joined by Antonina Chervatiuk, Head of the Simulation Training Centre and Assistant Professor at the Department of Emergency and Simulation Medicine, and Emilia Burbela, Associate Professor at the Department of Paediatrics and Paediatric Surgery.

Maxim Dohrmann proposed sharing practical experience with TNMU paramedic students, particularly regarding the transportation of critically ill patients. In turn, the university rector invited the “Artesans ResQ” representative to become a guest lecturer and partner of the university.

Background. “Artesans ResQ Ukraine” is a charitable organisation that has been saving patients’ lives since 2022 through an integrated system of critical care transport (CCT) and the training of healthcare professionals. Today, the organisation provides specialised patient transportation services within Ukraine and internationally and is also developing the first national CCT protocols and standards. Its team provides continuous intensive care during the transportation of critically ill patients in specially equipped ambulances, involving physicians, anaesthesiologists, and paramedics.
One of the organisation’s missions is to train paramedics and other healthcare professionals in the provision of critical care.
