Anniversary of the “Healthy Heart of Ukraine” club of the Department of Emergency Medical Care

These days, the young scientists of the Department of Emergency Medical Care at Ternopil National Medical University are celebrating the 10th anniversary of the student scientific club “Healthy Heart of Ukraine.” The club members shared their achievements with TNMU Rector Petro Lykhatskyi and conferred upon him the title of “Honorary Head of the Club.”

With words of sincere gratitude, the club members visited the club’s president, Mykola Shved, and scientific supervisor, Larysa Levytska, to express their respect and thank them for their support, mentorship, shared knowledge, and significant contribution to the development of the club’s scientific activity. They noted the importance of working together, the inspiration for new achievements, and the opportunity for professional growth under the guidance of experienced mentors.

The anniversary year turned out to be very successful and fruitful in achievements.

The results of many years of work by TNMU scientists were presented by Uliana Dmyterko, a postgraduate student of the Department of Emergency Medical Care, at the European Congress of Cardiology 2026, held from August 28-31, 2026, in Munich (Germany). The presented report, titled “Effectiveness of a personalized rehabilitation programme using an artificial intelligence-based telediagnostic platform in patients with myocardial infarction and atrial fibrillation,” attracted significant interest among a wide range of congress participants, the moderators of the “Cardiac Rehabilitation” session, and the head of the Association of Preventive Cardiology, Prof. Massimo Volpe.

On the first day of the XXVII National Congress of Cardiologists of Ukraine 2026, the club’s senior student, Anastasiia Vynnyk, won a third-degree diploma at the young scientists’ competition and was recognized by Professor Oleh Sychov, head of the All-Ukrainian Association of Cardiologists of Ukraine.

The club’s history includes dozens of congresses, scientific and practical conferences, seminars, and other scientific events that have contributed to the professional development of club members, the exchange of experience, and the growth of their scientific potential. At the same time, since the club’s establishment, TNMU students have actively engaged in social work, participated in charitable events in the city of Ternopil, and promoted a healthy lifestyle, in particular by raising public awareness of controlling risk factors for cardiovascular diseases.
