BridgeUSA Ukrainian Academic Fellows Program

The American Councils administer the new BridgeUSA Ukrainian Academic Fellows Program and are pleased to announce the opening of applications for participation in this program.

“BridgeUSA: Exchange Program for Ukrainian Teachers” is implemented with the support of the Office of Private Sector Exchange Programs of the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA) of the U.S. Department of State. BridgeUSA UAFP will promote the development of relationships between Ukrainian and American teachers and researchers for the purpose of joint research, exchange of pedagogical experience, development of training courses, as well as publication of scientific papers.

The long-term goal of the “BridgeUSA: Exchange Program for Ukrainian Teachers” project is to help Ukrainian universities in training specialists critically needed for the reconstruction and restoration of the country by building strong and productive cooperation with US higher education institutions.

The program will include visits for Ukrainian teachers lasting 1 month to host universities in the USA. Teachers and researchers working in Ukrainian universities in such academic fields as agricultural technology, conflict resolution and peace research, engineering, information technology, mental health, pedagogy, and urban planning will be able to participate in the program.
