Deputy Minister of Health presented main aspects of the medical reform

In preparation to this event, and together with chairman and co-founder of the NGO Center UA, former Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration Oleh Rybachuk they met with the leadership of our region and held several public discussions. These meetings addressed important reform issues, such as what communities should do to implement change through healthcare reforms; how as taxpayers they can control spending tax money; how the authorities can hear questions and concerns from the citizens; and how citizens can influence decision-making.

During the meeting at TSMU, Oleksandr Yabchanka spoke in detail on the importance of disease prevention and how to change focus of the current health care system to preventative medicine

Deputy Minister of Health Roman Ilyk in his speech focused on the main aspects of current medical reform in Ukraine. He emphasized that a healthy lifestyle and preventive activities should become the main state priorities. After the presentations, audience members had an opportunity to ask questions and discuss proposed changes.
