Greetings and Gifts for Ivan Smiyan Have Been Converted into Effective Assistance to the Armed Forces of Ukraine

Recently, the university community congratulated the former rector of TNMU Ivan Smiyan on a glorious anniversary – his 95th birthday. Professor Ivan Smiyan expressed his wish that all gifts for him would be turned into effective assistance to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Taking this into account, students of Ivan Smiyan, members of the Academic Board of TNMU, Director of Chortkiv Medical College Liubomyr Bilyk and Director of A. Richynskyi Kremenets Medical College Petro Mazur presented three FPV kamikaze drones with a payload of 3 kg and a flight range of 120 km.


At the request of the jubilee, on February 1, 2024, the FPV drones were handed over to the fighters of the third separate assault brigade, who today are fighting the enemy in the Donetsk direction.

In addition, 81,300 hryvnias were received in the form of charitable contributions to the account of the Volunteer Centre of the university as a greeting to the jubilee. These funds were used to purchase a charging station worth 42,000 hryvnias and medicines worth 39,300 hryvnias.

The charging station was sent to the combat unit. Representatives of the Volunteer Centre of TNMU will send medicines to military hospitals and military units in accordance with the requests received from them.
