International students joined a charity drive

Over 10 thousand hryvnas collected Polish students of Ternopil State Medical University. The money are earmarked for the treatment of 5 year-old Marichka Hvozdyska diagnosed acute lymphoblastic leukemia. Dentistry students from Poland decided to help by collecting charity pledges form other students and Polish diaspora.

University administration expresses its sincere gratitude to students Przemysław Żanko, Dajana Murmyło, Michał Lenartowicz, Karol Świątek, Jakub Janczarski, and Estera Błaszczyk for their efforts.

Father of the child is TSMU alumnus.  A group of students decided to join forces to help saving the Marichka’s life. One of the events they have organized is a charity bike race, which will take place on June 24th, with all collected money going towards the girl’s medical expenses.

Registration of participants will start  on the Theater Square at 13.00. The bike ride will start at 14.00, and its route will run form the Theater Square to Shevchenko Park.

All participants must pay a minimum of 25 hryvnias as a charitable contribution. Everyone who joins the bike ride will receive a bracelet made by Marichka and her friends.

After this event, Shevchenko Park will host an entertainment program and a master class from the Red Cross volunteers on medical assistance for cycling traumas.
