International Students of TNMU organized an Event on the World Diabetes Day

On November 15, 2021, the Federation of Students of Pakistan-Ternopil together with Ternopil National Medical University organized an educational event on diabetes on the World Diabetes Day. During the event, the students measured glucose levels for everyone. The co-ordinator of the organizers was Viktoria Furdela, Associate Professor of the Department of Pediatrics No. 2.

156 Ternopil residents were tested by students. More than 90% of people had normal glucose levels, 7% had pre-diabetic blood sugar, and 3% had high blood sugar (diabetes). Everyone who had high glucose levels was informed about the prevention of diabetes.

The students of TNMU of different courses were volunteers of the event: Umar Farooq, Talha Mehmood, Aqsa Shah, Ghazal Shah, Rida Saher, Danish Mahmood, Mohmmad Umais, Ameer Hamza, Warda Arshad, Kainat Khawaja, Simra Hameed, Yahiya Mustafa, Saleha Mustafa, Maryam Mustafa, Kumar Raj, Kumar Aum Oksana, Buah Ernest, Rzepkowski, Maciej Arkadiusz, Kabulo Wa Mulumbwe Deborah, Kanyangi Wa Kishimba Pierra, Meena Atul, Ndukwe Chinwendu Peace, Olow Mohamed Omar, Puoru Enoch Barka Malcom, Przegienda, Karina Malgorzata, Singhana Staniklara Kumarar.
