International Students of TSMU Presented Their Scientific Achievements

A student conference on infectious diseases and their laboratory diagnostics was held at the Department of Microbiology, Immunology and Virology of I.Horbachevsky Ternopil State Medical University. The Associate Professor of the department Olena Pokryshko initiated this event. This year it was attended by 3^rd and 4^th year students of the International Student’s Faculty. They had to prepare a report on any infectious disease of high incidence rate in their countries. The participants were creative in performing the task. The presentations on bacterial, viral and protozoan diseases were very interesting for the visitors.

The participants presented eight reports and were involved onto the discussion.

The experienced lecturers who have been teaching microbiology for international students for many years, Associate Professor Mykhailo Tvorko, Associate Professor Olena Pokryshko and Senior Lecturer Anna Maliarchuk, evaluated the reports.

All participants have coped with the task and gained experience in giving public presentations. The Head of the Department Professor Sergii Klymniuk and the lecturers are grateful to the students for their persistence in research work and participating in the conference, and wish them success in further studying and scientific researches.
