MSCA4Ukraine Scholarship Program

As part of the EU measures in response to the Russian Federation’s invasion of Ukraine, a new MSCA4Ukraine targeted scholarship program is announced to support temporary displaced researchers from Ukraine. This support will enable expatriate researchers to continue working in academic and non-academic organizations in EU member states and in the associated countries of the EU Horizon Europe program, while maintaining ties with the research and innovation communities in Ukraine. This program can also contribute to the reintegration of researchers in Ukraine in order to prevent a constant “brain drain” due to the emigration of scientists, if the conditions for their safe return are ensured, as well as influence the strengthening of the Ukrainian university and research sector, its cooperation and exchange with the international scientific community.

The MSCA4Ukraine program of the European Commission will be implemented by a consortium consisting of the European branch of the organization “Scholars at Risk Europe“, located at Maynooth University, Ireland (project coordinator), the German Alexander von Humboldt Foundation, Association of European Universities, with the participation of associated partners – the French national program “PAUSE“, which is carried out on the basis of the Collège de France, as well as the global Scholars at Risk Network.

Acceptance of applications from candidates will begin in September 2022. At this time, basic information on application requirements and a link to register to receive program notifications will be available here.
