Mykhaylo Korda greeted the students on the occasion of Student’s International Day

Dear students!

I would like to send my warmest greetings on the occasion of Student’s International Day. In the whole world students have always been the vanguard of youth. Your involvement and active participation in social transformation is what determines the future of your native lands. I am certain that your skills and knowledge will greatly contribute to development of public health systems in your countries.

Today more than 5,000 students are enrolled in Ternopil State Medical University. us Here, we created environment to foster your successful learning, development and self-realization. We are happy to see that medical students demonstrate high achievements in academics, research, student governance, athletics, volunteering, outreach and art. Many of you took prizes in city, regional and national Olympiads and competitions.

The International Medical Congress of Students and Young Scholars, which traditionally takes place every year in our University, connects young people from all over Ukraine and abroad. International Students’ Summer Camp became one of the most anticipated events for anyone pursuing medical education, and the recreation campus Chervona Kalyna has grown into a place that brings together Ukraine and the world.

In the University we have well organized Student government. You are the leaders of the volunteer movement in our city. You have organized a number of rallies in support of the army and continue to help soldiers fighting on the front lines. You created a civic organization The White Berets, which aims to teach soldiers self-help and first aid techniques. Some of you have already saved lives. Ternopil residents look forward to the events you organize, which offer them health exams and advice on healthy lifestyles. Your compassion and ability to help encourages us all to make this world a better and kinder place.

I can keep on listing your many accomplishments and achievements, so I want to say that I am proud of all of the young people studying at our university.

I would like to wish you inexhaustible inspiration, perseverance and great success in learning. I wish you determination, inspiration, independent vision, creative solutions, and faith in yourself and your accomplishments!
