National EMSA Assembly will develop its strategy for the future

Recently, Ternopil State Medical University students-members of the European Medical Student Association had a scheduled branch meeting. During the seminar, physicians-in-training worked on their first aid skills, in particular cardiopulmonary resuscitation.

For the new members of the organization, it was a good opportunity to gain new knowledge and proficiencies, and for current EMSA members, to improve their skills.

“As future doctors, we should be prepared for any emergency, in everyday life and at work. Therefore, such workshops are an important during of our training. In the future, we will organize similar classes more often, so that many students will know how to give the first aid, ” said Zuzanna Betkowiak, President of EMSA Ternopil branch.

One of the important issues discussed during the meeting was planning of the National Assembly on April 27-29, 2018, which will take place at Ternopil State Medical University. The topic of the conference is Global Health Problems Associated with the Immune System: Separating Facts from Fiction.

EMSA Managers and members from all branches in Ukraine will attend the event. They will work on important strategic decisions about further development of the organization, implementation of national projects, and recognition of the best members.

The organizing committee, which includes a number of TSMU students Parth Sabya Sachi, Zuzanna Betkowiak, Arshbeer Sandhu, Awwal Taiwo, Mudassar Amin, Samirah Hayatullah, and Akinade Adedoyin Ayomikun. Among the planned activities are four workshops, dedicated to pre-hospital emergency care,  surgery, cardiac resuscitation and features of the immune system.

In addition, the Organizing Committee plans social activities and a tour of Ternopil historical monuments. To participate in the event, please fill out the form.
