Online Meetings on the Occasion of World Diabetes Day
I. Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University invites educators to join the online meeting on the occasion of the World Diabetes Day.
The video meeting is organized in order to increase the level of awareness of employees of educational institutions about diabetes in children and adolescents. At the meeting you will learn:
- diabetes facts and myths
- signs of the disease that a teacher or mentor can draw attention to,
- what acute complications of type 1 diabetes can occur during school or in clubs,
- how to provide the first aid to a child with diabetes,
- what principles of nutrition and daily routine should be followed in order to prevent type 2 diabetes in children and adolescents
- which reliable Internet resources will help teachers learn more up-to-date information about the principles of preserving the health of schoolchildren.
After the lecture, an interactive question-and-answer session is planned.
Date and time: November 14 at 3:00 p.m
Target audience: teaching staff of secondary and out-of-school education institutions of the Ternopil region.
