Open Door Festival at I. Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University Library
September 30 – All-Ukrainian Day of Libraries
On September 20 – October 4, the traditional Open Door Festival, dedicated to the All-Ukrainian Day of Libraries, will take place at I. Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University Library. The staff invites everyone to visit the Library and take part in library tours, attend presentations, creative meetings, workshops, get acquainted with the new issues of educational and scientific literature.
During the excursions, the first-year students will be able to get acquainted with the information resources of the Library, its mode of operation and rules of use.
The “Give a Book to the Library” campaign will allow everyone to contribute to the enrichment of the University books collection.
The Information Day was held in the small reading hall of the Library on September 20 from 10am to 5pm. On September 24, at 3:30 pm, teachers and students could attend a workshop on “How to Prepare for the International Exam in High Quality and Speed!”, which presented the USMLE-Rx 360 information system to help the students understand the logical construction of the tests, track the learning progress, and build skills, required for successful completion of the IFOM examination.
On September 25, at 3.30 pm we invite everyone to a creative meeting “Honoring the human being inside you” with a scientist and writer, the head of the Ukrainian Language Department of TNMU, Professor Anatolii Vykhrushch.
On September 26, at 3.30 pm in the Library reading hall, visitors have the possibility to attend the literary and musical performance “Autumn colors” by Lesia Lubarska.
On September 27, at 3.30 pm, a meeting with the writer Natalka Mykhno is waiting for the Library guests.
On September 30, at 11.00 am, the Library invites visitors to celebrate All-Ukrainian Library Day.
On October 1, we invite everyone to view the book exhibition “International publications on medicine in the TNMU book collection”.
On October 2, at 3.30 pm, the personal exhibition of the artist Yurii Chumak will be opened at TNMU Art Gallery.
On October 3, at 10.00 am, we invite the visitors to attend the event “The role of reading in university environment” dedicated to the Day of a specialist.
On October 4, at 4.00 pm, a lecture for the teachers of the University “Aggression and reaction to it” will be delivered at TNMU reading hall. The lecture will be delivered by the Head of the Center for Psychological Rehabilitation “Step Toward”, psychotherapist Liubov Medved. The event will be moderated by Yanina Chaikivska.
On the TNMU Library website (http://library.tdmu.edu.ua), there are presentation of new books, virtual exhibitions, electronic catalogs, and other interesting information.
