Opening Ceremony of the “Horizon Europe Office in Ukraine” was Held

On December 20, 2023, the official opening of the “Horizon Europe Office in Ukraine” took place at the National Research Fund of Ukraine as a result of the grant agreement concluded with the European Commission regarding the “HEOinUA” project.

During the event, discussions were held in three thematic panels, in which representatives of the European Commission, state authorities of Ukraine, diplomatic missions of foreign countries and representatives of international organizations in Ukraine, specialized institutions, scientific institutions and educational institutions took part. Among the participants of the event was also a member of the Scientific Committee of the National Council of Ukraine on Science and Technology and the Head of TNMU Project Management Department, Professor Oksana Shevchuk.

The opening of the “Horizon Europe Office in Ukraine” will contribute to the expansion of Ukraine’s opportunities to participate in joint research and innovation projects and is an example of strong cooperation between the European Commission, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and the National Research Fund of Ukraine.

The “Horizon Europe” office in Ukraine will be engaged in: supporting Ukrainian scientific organizations in the preparation of requests for funding, holding information events about the possibilities of cooperation in the field of science and innovation, assisting in finding partners for projects in the EU and around the world; raising awareness of success stories and working with specific problems of project implementation in Ukraine, consulting on policies related to Ukraine’s integration into the European research space, and others.
