Participants of the Scientific Studio “Terpoliany” visited Antonivtsi
On the occasion of the 77th anniversary of the creation of the Ukrainian Insurgent Army, the Day of the Defender of Ukraine and the feast of the Intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the participants of the TNMU Scientific Studio of the Local History Studies “Terpoliany” organized a meeting in the village of Antonivtsi at the north of Ternopil region where the headquarters of the UPA used to be located.
This event had both historical and national patriotic meaning. This is evidenced by the speeches of TNMU lecturers Leonid Kravchuk, Taras Kobodnyi. The words of the participants about the fights in the south of Ukraine, including those of Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor Ivan Zuliak, were particularly fascinating to the young participants of the Studio. The poem by the first year Pharmacy student Diana Lutsyk, dedicated to the mother of the hero, deeply impressed all those present.
Future doctors were familiarized with the reconstruction of the insurgency headquarters and had a chance to have a different look at the events that are taking place today in the east of our country. The students of the International Students’ Faculty Menon Malavika and Victoria Mary Unachukvu actively participated in this event.
“I will take your wisdom, courage and strength to my home country and will share it with my people,” noted Victoria Mary Unachukvu.
