Participants of TNMU International Student Summer Schools Started Collecting Funds for the Needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine

International Student Summer Schools have been held at Ternopil National Medical University for fourteen years (2006-2019). This project is unique in Ukraine. Every summer, we gathered talented young people from all over the country and other states. All of them were united by studying at medical universities, the desire to improve their knowledge of the English language, develop professional skills and make new friends.

“Due to the pandemic, there was a break in the implementation of this project in previous years, but the participants of summer schools which take place at Chervona Kalyna Academic and Recreation Centre always keep in touch with each other. In 2022, we planned fifteen summer schools with a special program, because we would have celebrated our anniversary. Unfortunately, the war changed the plans. So, we decided to join forces to help our defenders. We all are active volunteers in various cities, workplaces, and universities. School participants came up with the decision that a team can achieve much more. In the internal chat, where we constantly communicate, we called on everyone to join forces. Fundraising for the needs of the Armed Forces is currently underway. Within the first hour, there were 10,000 hryvnias in the account, and over 50,000 within two days. Together, we are solving the issue of purchasing sleeping bags and sleeping pads, as well as ordering the tailoring of 30 pairs of shoes for our soldiers. We continue our work in order to quickly respond to the requests of the defenders and provide what is necessary,” project manager Nataliia Lisnychuk says.

The organizing committee expresses their appreciation the schools participants for their activity and patriotism. Support this initiative to effectively support the Army and bring our victory closer!
