“Despite the fact that it has achieved considerable success, he continues to improve. Recently he graduated from a Master’s program in Finance. My father is the general manager of a regional hospital in Ghana, but at the same time he is interested in continuous education. He believes that a person can achieve prosperity only through lots of self-improvement and working to minimize one’s shortcomings.

“Even during previous breaks at home I started to observe how he always has his glasses on reading, poring over scholarly reports, writing papers. My father always tells me that I should achieve more than him and become a better person than him. He really works very hard. Dad is an example for me in almost everything, so I do not allow myself to relax, “- said Juliet.

Of course, summer for the President of Ghana students’ association is not just work. First the family arranges for her to take part in fun events, but after that she spends much time working at the hospital. Juliet wants to become a highly qualified doctor, so uses every opportunity to gain practical skills.

“Almost every day during the break I am at the hospital, taking part in examining the patients, etc. Typically, I have only one or two weeks of rest, and after that I intern at the hospital. After the day at work I come home and spend time with my younger sisters. My mother returns from work late and is always busy. In my free time I am reading books. And most of all I like to talk to my grandmother, who always asks me to tell her about Ukraine. She is curious about everything: food, Ukrainian folk costumes, the cities. During the school year, I collect my brightest impressions to later share with her. I always show her new photos from Ukraine. My grandmother is my best friend “- added the student.

Juliet has not yet fully decided on her future specialization. She likes pediatrics and cardiology. During one of the internships in a Ghana clinic she attended a delivery, liked to assist in bringing in the new life so now she becomes more interested in gynecology.

As to her public responsibilities, Juliet said that on one hand, it was easy to become a president of the association, because she knows almost all students from Ghana, and on the other hand the day-to-day work can be challenging. “I have to be able to organize everything, set up meetings, and find individual approach to everyone. I really want us to be one family and support each other. In my opinion, the main task of the Association’s President is bringing countrymen together, taking care of them. Overall I really like the university. There are a lot of fun activities. Some events we are trying to develop ourselves. It is this kaleidoscope of academic process, entertainment, charity events and communication that makes students’ life “- concluded Juliet.
