Professors and students of TSMU joined a humanitarian project
Throughout 2017 TSMU and the social center Caritas have been working together on humanitarian projects. Recently, faculty of the Department of physical rehabilitation, human health and physical education, headed by prof. Daria Popovich, 2nd year Human Health students of Faculty of Medicine, supervised by the assistant professor A. Rutska and staff of the social center organized a charity event within the framework of the project “Social Environment for Young People with Disabilities”.
The event took place on June 20, 2017in Academic and Recreation complex Chervona Kalina. Taking part in the activities were D. Popovich, and A. Rutska, as well as deputy chairman of TSMU trade union committee of the associate professor O. Pokryshko, and students V. Pylypchuk, P. Tarasiuk, N. Yashina, T.Mateyko, S. Koptsiukh, together with the head of Caritas’s project Life in Fullness R. Halak, Fr. Andriy Marchuk, and other Caritas employees and their wards who came with their parents.
During the stay in recreation complex Chervona Kalina, the guests enjoyed friendly and cheerful atmosphere. Everyone took part in a tour, shared lunch and dinner, got to rest by the pool, and join a prayer.

While the people with special needs had the opportunity to socialize, the students could use their practical skills of rehabilitation of disabled people. All participants wish to express sincere gratitude to TSMU rector M. Korda and the head of the trade union assistant professor P. Lykhatskyi for contributing funds for this event.
