Rector of TNMU Received the Volodymyr Luchakivskyi Prize

On the Day of Local Self-Government, the best citizens of Ternopil were awarded the Volodymyr Luchakivsky Prize on December 7, 2021. The awards were presented in three nominations “Future is created today”, “Formation of a positive image of the city” and “Cultural, artistic, scientific and innovative achievements”. The celebrations took place in the Ukrainian House “Peremoha”.

The Volodymyr Luchakivsky Prize is awarded annually to honour the memory of Volodymyr Luchakivskyi, the first Ukrainian mayor of Ternopil and to honour community members who have made significant efforts to innovative, technological, scientific, social, public, cultural development and positive image of Ternopil.

In the nomination “The future is created today” the winner of the award was Mykhailo Korda, a Ukrainian scientist in medical biochemistry, Professor, Rector of I. Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University, Honored Worker of Science and Technology of Ukraine.

In the nomination “Formation of a positive image of the city” the prize was awarded to Anastasiia Bachynska, the European champion in the team championship, master of sports of Ukraine of international class; in the nomination “Cultural, art, scientific and innovative achievements” – to Olha Pokhyliak, deputy of Ternopil City Council.
