Scientists of TNMU Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry Participated in the “Pharmaceutical Education, Science and Practice: State, Problems, Prospects for Development” Conference

On December 19-20, 2023, Assistant Professor of TNMU Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry  Mariana Horyn and postgraduate student of the same department Kateryna Typlynska took part in the training and research conference with international participation “Pharmaceutical Education, Science and Practice: State, Problems, Prospects for Development”, dedicated to 25th anniversary of the Faculty of Pharmacy of O. Bohomolets National Medical University.

Mariana Horyn, in co-authorship with Marjan Piponski (Replek Farm Ltd., Skopje, N. Macedonia) and Liliya Logoyda (TNMU) presented a report on the topic “Scientific approaches to the development of methods for the analysis of meldonium and metoprolol in medicinal products.” The report presents a scientific and experimental study of the development of analytical methods for the determination of metoprolol and meldonium in medicinal products. Spectrophotometric and chromatographic methods for the determination of metoprolol and meldonium in medicinal products suggested by the authors are “green”, simple to perform, not labour-intensive, inexpensive and can be used in the routine analysis of medicinal products and during arbitration control.

Kateryna Typlynska, in co-authorship with scientific supervisor Liliya Logoyda, presented a report on the topic “Study of degradation of ramipril in monopreparation and in combination of ramipril with hydrochlorothiazide”. The report was devoted to the study of the degradation profiles of ramipril and hydrochlorothiazide and establishing the possibility of using the method developed by the authors for the simultaneous determination of impurities of both components in the combined drug.

The information was provided by Mariana Horyn and Kateryna Typlynska.
