Tactical Medicine Training was Held at Chervona Kalyna Academic and Recreation Centre

On October 9, 2022, the staff of the Department of Emergency and Simulation Medicine organized tactical medicine training in the form of an airsoft game with the performance of tactical tasks in Academic and Recreation Centre Chervona Kalyna. 3rd and 2nd-year paramedic students, 6th-year medical students and professional airsoft players were involved in the training.

During the game, its participants mastered working in a combat zone under fire, practicing the skills of applying a tourniquet, self-help, applying a tourniquet to a wounded, evacuating an injured person. It was also possible to improve work in a conditionally dangerous zone by performing the following skills: examining an injured according to the MARCH algorithm, applying a tourniquet in a conditionally dangerous zone, tamponing a wound, applying a pressure bandage, ensuring the patency of the respiratory tract.

The support team consisted of 2nd-year students led by teachers of the Department of Emergency and Simulation Medicine. They held the rear and took care of a delicious lunch and raising the fighting spirit of the players.
