Team of TSMU international students placed third in inter-university Futsal tournament

On 20-24 March 2017 Ternopil State Medical University  hosted a Futsal tournament among University students. Nine student teams participated in the tournament, including representatives of Ternopil National Pedagogical University (2 teams), Ternopil National Economic University (2 teams), Berezhansk Agricultural University, Kremenets Teachers College, Ternopil National Technical University and I Ternopil State medical University (2 teams).

Our university was represented by two student teams. The first group included representatives of Faculties of Medicine and Dentistry (Ivan Kalka , Volodymyr Lutsyk, Arsen Litvinskyi, Olexksandr Hrinko, Ihor Sereda, Roman Khrusch, Artem Malanchuk, Serhii Shovtiuk (all – Faculty of Medicine), and Vitalii Zaitsev (Faculty of Dentistry)), the second included international students (Alchlaihawi Hayder, Assimba Joseph, Saleh Abdelrahman, Emmanuel Turkson, Sherriff Osman, Kofi Damoah, Mohab Ragab, Bernard Adjei, Ifeanyi Odume, Alkammasi Ali, Saleh Eissa, and Alhasson Ali).

The team of dentistry and medical students took 5th place after losses to the teams of TNPU and Kremenets Teachers College.

International students of our university did not lose a single game, and took the 3rd place. In the group tournament they bested TNPU and TNEU-2 teams and had a draw with TNEU-1 team, taking 7 points and the 2nd place in the group. In the final round the international team beat the team of Kremenets Tearchers College 2:1 and took the bronze medal.
