Ternopil Schoolchildren Join TNMU Students’ Initiative on Trench Candles

Volunteers of I. Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University has made 1,500 trench candles. They work with inspiration throughout the week without days off. Each of them realizes the importance of helping our defenders even with such simple things as a trench candle, which is a source of light, heat, energy.

Students of Ternopil schools also join this initiative. For example, pupils of the 3rd grade of school №3 drew positive pictures wishing victory to our soldiers. The teacher of this class, Svitlana Zabrotska, noted that the children chose positive subjects for their drawings in order to give the soldiers a good mood, joy and a sense of the importance of their mission.

In school №16, they also drew pictures and made blanks for trench candles, in particular, students filled empty cans with cardboard and handed them over to our volunteers for filling with wax or paraffin. We sincerely thank the director of this institution, Ruslana Bazunova, and her assistants, Mariia Baliashchuk, Larysa Buhera, Tetiana Rudyk, and labour training teacher Tetiana Malanchuk, for the patriotic education of young people.
