Ternopil State Medical University researchers participated in Dubai International Pharmaceuticals and Technologies Conference and Exhibition DUPHAT 2018

TSMU associate professor of pharmaceutical chemistry, Lilia Lohoida on 27.02-01.03 took part in 23rd Dubai International Pharmaceuticals and Technologies Conference, which takes place annually in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

The pharmaceutical industry worldwide is undergoing significant transformation toward increased automation, specialization and, ultimately, improved quality.

DUPHAT has also evolved since its inception in the mid-1990 to become a comprehensive and internationally recognized pharmaceutical conference.

Today the international scientific program of the symposium and exhibitions bring together practicing pharmacists, doctors, researchers, medical representatives, young scientists and students.
Scientists from the US, UK, Australia, Europe, Canada, Africa, Japan and the Middle East present their latest achievements of pharmaceuticals as part of a three-day intensive program with a wide range of issues covering pharmaceutical practice, pharmaceutical science, pharmaceutical education, continuous professional development and advanced practice.

The scientific program of DUPHAT includes pharmacy workshops and seminars, parallel scientific presentations, poster presentations for professional, academic and student audience, student poster contest and short oral presentation competitions. This year they also could learn about the latest developments in the pharmaceutical industry, which were presented at the exhibition of pharmaceutical technologies by multinational pharmaceutical companies.

Associate professor of pharmaceutical chemistry Lilia Lohoida presented both a talk and a poster prepared together with co-authors Dmytro Korobko and Serhii Kovalenko on The Methods for Determination of Combination Antihypertensive Drugs in Human Plasma by LC–MS/MS. These presentations received Certificates of Recognition.

Fifth year students of TSMU International Students’ Faculty studying Pharmacy and working on their theses at the Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry (supervisor Lilia Lohoida) presented their posters: Development and Validation of the HPLC Method for the Simultaneous Determination of Enalapril Maleate in Present of Their Impurities (Agyemang Opoku Ernest), a New HPLC-MS / MS Method for the Simultaneous Determination of Bisoprolol and Enalapril in The Present of Enalaprilat in Human Plasma (Okechukwu Favour Chigozirim), and Development and Validation of the RP-HPLC Method for Determination of Bisoprolol in Tablet Dosage Forms (Amesi Rejoice Anwuri).
