Ternopil State Medical University student participated in International Student Congress in Istanbul

The International Medical Student Congress took place on March 21-23, 2018, at the University of Maltepe in Istanbul, Turkey. The main theme of the event was Multidisciplinary Approach in Medicine. More than 90 participants from around the world attended the event. Fourth-year student of Ternopil State Medical University Bohdan Haiuk gave a poster presentation.

Bohdan Haiuk’s work is focused on the multidisciplinary approach to the management of patients with neuroendocrine tumors and heart damage (supervisor: assistant professor R.Komorovsky). The presentation elicited a lot of interest.

In addition to presenting their research, the participants took part in interactive workshops on the role of art in medicine and clinical multidisciplinary examination of the patient. They also had a chance to listen to lectures by the leading experts from Turkey.

The congress ended with a friendly dinner, during which the participants received their certificates.

On the third day of the congress, the participants visited a history museum and the old town.

The entire event was organized by the University of Maltepe students.
