Ternopil State Medical University will train instructors in military medicine

In recent years Ukrainian medical institutions of higher education have recovered the work of disaster and military medicine departments. Prior to the outbreak of hostilities in eastern Ukraine such departments remained only at four universities, including Ternopil State Medical University. Here, all necessary conditions were created to train students on the program preparing reserve officers of Medical Service at the educational and recreational center of TSMU Chervona Kalyna.

Now these facilities also became an excellent training base for the instructors of newly established departments of disaster and military at other universities. Starting on June 13 a week-long training course at Chervona Kalyna will offer them professional improvement opportunities . More than 30 representatives from all medical universities of Ukraine participate in this course.

Instructors of the Ukrainian Military Medical Academy will teach this course jointly with the experts form TSMU Department of Disaster and Military Medicine. Yesterday, on June 13, an entire training day was devoted to military topography and overall tactics.
