The admissions committee of Ternopil State Medical University has received almost 5,000 applications from prospective students

During the first week of this year’s admissions campaign at Ternopil State Medical University  it received 4933 applications from prospective students. Most of the young people want to study on the program in Medicine. For this specialty applied 2775 people, to fill in 200 available state-funded spaces (overall number of licensed spaces for this specialty for Ukrainian citizens is 500). Those wishing to enroll on the second year of studies of the Medicine program after graduating from college filed in 237 applications (licensed number of spaces is 65).

The second most popular specialty is Dentistry. 801 applicants wish to study on this program. For this specialty the number of state-funded spaces is 4 and the total licensed number of spaces is 150. For the second year enrollment in this specialty the admissions committee received 70 applications (licensed number of spaces is 60 seats).

As for the Pharmacy specialty, 490 people applied for the full-time study on either the first or second year of enrollment,  and 270 people applied for the distance learning program.

Full-time course of study for the Bachelor’s degree in Nursing attracted applications from 112 people. Part-time (or distance) form study leading to the Bachelor’s degree in Nursing received applications from 57 people, and to the Master’s degree – 29 people.

Another popular specialty is Physical Rehabilitation, considering that so far 73 applicants will be competing for 30 licensed spaces.

The admissions committee would like to remind the applicants that the deadlines for those considering to enroll on the second year of full-time studies is July 20 at 18:00; and to the first year is July 27 at 18:00. Those applying for distance learning programs have deadline on 7 August at 18:00.
