The best students of TNMU received certificates of appreciation

At meeting of the Academic Council of I. Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University, which took place on December 24, 2019, TNMU Rector, Professor Mykhaylo Korda, thanked the best students of our university for their accomplishments in education, science, sports, creativity and public activities. Awarding of those who have made significant contribution into the development of the University has become a tradition. Selection of the best students is done by the TNMU Center for educational work and cultural development. In this way, the university administration encourages young people to develop their talents while studying.

 

In the nomination “For excellent academic achievements”, Maria Riabokon was awarded for the highest grade point average of 186,5.

Artem Malanchuk was selected as the best in the nomination “For significant achievements in scientific work”. This fourth year medical student is a member of the board of the Scientific Society of Students, he participated in the conference “Interdisciplinary approach to therapy of internal diseases”, has a considerable number of publications in various scientific articles. He received a first degree diploma at the 23rd International Congress of Students and Young Scientists.

Acknowledgment for the active civic position was received by the youth mayor of the city, former head of the Student Parliament of TNMU Romanna Pavliuk. This sixth year student of the medical faculty was a participant of the Erasmus + program, the organizer of the VOMOSS conference, a participant of the Ternopil team in the contest “Youth Capital of Ukraine”, a participant of the XXII International Medical Congress of Students and Young Scientists (2nd degree diploma).

The nomination “For significant achievements in the development of culture” was awarded to Sofia Kopytchak. This fourth year student of the medical faculty participated in the competition “The best student of Ternopil region” (won in the nomination “The best student-scientist of Ternopil region”), organized the concert “Ukrainski vechornytsi”, entertainment show “Khto zverkhu”, won the competition “StudMis 2019 TDMU”, organized “Latin Dance evening”, she is a choreographer of dance performances at International Student Summer Schools.

Maksym Levytskyi was the winner in the nomination “For significant achievements in sports”. This first year student of medical faculty participated in competitions such as WTKA Junior Kickboxing Championship (1st prize), FST Ukraine WTKA Junior Boxing Championship (1st prize), Ukraine Open WAKO Kickboxing Cup (1st prize) ), WTKA Unified World Championship (2nd prize), Ternopil MMA Open Championship (1st prize), ISKA Kickboxing Open Championship (1st prize), All-Ukrainian WTKA Kickboxing Tournament (1st prize), Ukrainian WTKA Kickboxing Championship among students (1st prize).

Oksana Pobihushka became the best volunteer of the year. The girl is a fourth-year student of the medical faculty, the head of TNMU volunteer corps. During the semester, numerous events were organized: on the occasion of the day of the elderly; regular cooking of dumplings (varenyky) for Ukrainian soldiers; educational event on International Diabetes Day; regular visits to Petrykiv religious organization “The Monastery of the Servants of the Lord and Virgin Mary of Matar”; organizing a concert to celebrate International Volunteer Day.
