The Conference on Topical Issues of Diagnostics, Treatment and Prevention of Comorbidity in Family Practice Was Held in TSMU
On March 10-11 the 3rd International Research and Training Conference on Topical Issues of Diagnostics, Treatment and Prevention of Comorbidity in Family Practice was held at Taras Shevchenko Ternopil Drama Theatre under the aegis of Ternopil State Medical University. More than 300 delegates took part at the event. They were general practitioners, family doctors and others experts: therapists, surgeons, pediatricians, gynecologists and obstetricians from Ternopil, Ternopil region and other regions.
The Deputy Director of the Department of Public Health of Ternopil Regional State Administration Chaikivska Lidia welcomed the participants and wished everyone a fruitful work at the conference.
The Vice-Rector for Research Professor Ivan Klishch in his opening speech stressed the urgent matters of comorbidity in therapeutist’s practice. Ivan Mykolaiovych greeted the delegates of the event on behalf of the rector of TSMU Professor Mykhailo Korda.
Professor Marian Hrebenyk started the plenary session with the report on “Coronary heart disease. Focusing on myocardial ischemia”, in which he emphasized the algorithm of medical assistance by a general practitioner of family medicine to patients with stable coronary heart disease. A significant proportion of ischemic heart disease in the structure of cardiovascular diseases and deaths in Ukraine is an urgent matter.
The report by Professor Vakaliuk I.P. on drug support in rehabilitation of patients with coronary heart disease was of great interest. Cardiovascular continuum was considered as a chain of pathological links that lead to cardiovascular disease.
Professor S.P. Markin (Voronezh N.N. Burdenko State Medical University) highlighted the current issues of dizziness symptom and outlined methods to overcome them in the practice of general practitioner of family medicine in outpatient unit.
