The Students of Donetsk University Have Completed a Premedical Assistance Course at TSMU

On October 9-11 the students of the Medical Faculty of Ternopil State Medical University held premedical assistance courses for the students of Donetsk National Medical University. Bogdan Pereviznyk, Denys Kosharskyi, Ihor Byhar, Vasyl Kuz were the instructors who shared their knowledge and practical skills. Their colleagues Narhiz Dzhavadova, Romania Klos, Iryna Lysa, Vitalii Libernyi helped them during the arrangement of this event.

 Some of our guests from DNMU have already visited hospitable Ternopil land this summer. They participated in the project “East and West Belong Together” in the Educational and Recreational Center “Chervona Kalyna” supported by the Rector of TSMU Professor Mykhailo Korda. The rest came to our city for the first time. During the weekend they trained persistently and have received instructor certificates from the Ukrainian Council of Resuscitation and Emergency Medical Care.

“These young people will share their knowledge and skills with others in their university and region. Our university provides all facilities for such events. There are 16 students who are certified instructors from the Ukrainian Council of Resuscitation and Emergency Medical Care and necessary supplies at the Academic and Research Institute of Nursing and the Department of Disaster and Military Medicine. In 2015-2016 academic year, a course on premedical assistance is officially introduced in the curriculum. However, there was no a seminar or thematic advanced training for teaching staff. Accordingly, young people who are gaining fundamental knowledge and skills today will introduce this field at their university,” the Head of the Department of Disaster and Military Medicine Professor Arsen Hudyma said.
