The Students of TSMU Carried on a Pre-Medical Aid Training in TISIT
Recently, the students of Ternopil State Medical University, who are the members of the rapid response team of the Red Cross Society in Ternopil, taught the students of TISIT the fundamentals of first aid. The training took place within the framework of event, which is annually arranged by this society to inform the civil population about the necessity for skilled pre-medical aid. This takes place because since 2000, on every second Sunday of October international community celebrates the Day of First Aid.
“The rapid response team’s tasks are to take part in public gathering to provide rapid assistance if necessary. Also during terrorist attack or massive accident we help to rescue victims at its epicenter. Today we show first aid fundamentals to the students, including cardiopulmonary resuscitation, application of tourniquet in cases of hemorrhage or fractures,” the student of TSMU Andrii Hvozdetskyi said.
