TNMU Centre for Medical Simulation Hosted Training Session from Ukrainian-Swiss Project “Development of Medical Education”

On October 21, 2022, a mini-training took place in TNMU Centre for Medical Simulation with practical work on creating and working out clinical scenarios together with university instructors and teachers who directly conduct practical classes with students using simulation technologies. In total, almost 20 people took part.

The main purpose of the visit was to provide technical assistance to simulation centres during work with communication equipment. This practical workshop was organized within the framework of the Ukrainian-Swiss project “Development of medical education”.

IT specialists Serhii Tsvilyi and Dmytro Hnatiuk conducted the training on behalf of the project. Technical specialist Roman Huk, Head of the Centre Halyna Tsymbaliuk, TNMU project coordinator Oksana Sydorenko helped the participants learn the necessary skills.

During this event, specialists of the project and the simulation training centre checked the correctness of the work, adjusted the equipment, and worked out scenarios for the use of the equipment together with the participants. Thanks to the training, the teachers have mastered the correct use of the maximum potential of available equipment functions.

The participants worked out the techniques of effective interaction between the trainer and students in the simulation room, practical skills of camera control, visual information management, practical skills of visual information presentation and video information output in Zoom, Microsoft Teams, YouTube, etc., using the OBS Studio program. The possibility of editing the video material and presenting it in the debriefing room was also considered.
