TNMU Graduates Shared Their Experience on Professional Realisation with Current Students

Recently, TNMU graduates among international students organized a webinar on “What to expect after graduating from medical university?”.

The Education Department of the Nigerian Student Union, headed by Adeyemi David Ayooluwa (head of this department in 2020-2021), initiated an online meeting for medical students. The main task of the event was to tell the students about what they will experience after graduation, about the programs and opportunities that can be used.

Two facilitators-doctors shared their experience: Odion Donald Oriafo (now Federal Medical Center, Abuja, Nigeria; TNMU graduate in 2017; former president of the Nigerian Students Union of TNMU) and Ogenov Efekodo (Mbbs, FWACS (анестезія), MRCGP, GP, UK).

Both speakers said that students should have planned their future in advance. They illustrated this in their own and professional experience in order to best convey their views to the audience. In addition, the invited guests provided materials and links that are useful and can help in the future.

More than 100 TNMU students took part in the webinar. Dr. Emmanuel and Dr. Chioma also talked to the students, and Associate Professor Olena Pokryshko, the Deputy Director of the Centre for Educational Work and Cultural Development, welcomed the participants.
